Project objective
The main objective of the project is to offer a comprehensive experience of travel - exploration, especially meaningful through a playful structure, oriented mainly for vacation periods (spring, summer and autumn), in areas of the Greek landscape characterized by special natural beauty and special historical-cultural significance. Therefore, the conduct of the game is primarily located in areas that are par excellence poles of attraction due to their natural, historical and cultural characteristics.
In particular, these points include:
a) sites of archaeological and broader historical importance
b) buildings of special architectural interest (functional, constructional, aesthetic and historical), e.g. museums, historical buildings, Byzantine temples, ports, lighthouses, windmills, tarsanades, observatories, etc.,
c) natural landscapes of special aesthetic and/or geological interest (beaches, capes, forests, gorges, caves, hills, volcanoes, hot springs, etc.)
Based on the above, it becomes clear that the proposal concerns a type of "serious game" [serious game], which is evaluated as able to contribute the most in a direction of highlighting and strengthening the attractiveness of natural and cultural heritage sites, through the development of a new innovative form of environmental and cultural eco-tourism, with wider recreational and educational dimensions.
